I’m Joaquín “Joaco,” from Santiago Astata on the Chontal coast. Growing up in Playa La Colorada among local fishermen, I developed a deep love for the ocean. After studying away from home, I returned at 27 and discovered surfing, spending over 15 years as a tour leader and surf guide in the Salina Cruz and Huatulco area. I’m passionate about involving locals in tourism, creating opportunities for our communities while preserving our natural resources. We are blessed to come from this magical place, full of hidden wonders and stunning beauty. I invite you to explore this enchanting region and join us on an unforgettable surfing adventure!
